Every year Franz Josef Glacier is photographed, climbed, hiked and traversed by people of all nationalities.  Some visitors have never seen snow before, some are expert moutaineers.  But one thing that's alway the same is how much everyone is blown away by a glacier hike.  Most will rate it as one of their favourite experiences in New Zealand.

Here's a great blog from Irishman Ronan, who recently did the Ice Explorer trip with his fellow countrymen and waved the flag proudly at the top of the glacier.  Read all about it here

Where have you travelled from to visit Franz Josef?  And if you haven't visited us yet, grab that passport and come on down!
