It's a win... AGAIN

We’d like to give a huge glacier-sized thank you to everyone who voted for Franz Josef Glacier Guides in the TNT Golden Backpack Awards.  You may have seen us promoting the awards on our Facebook page last month, and encouraging our friends to vote online.

The result?

Backpacker Award Win 2015

Winner, winner chicken dinner.  Franz Josef Glacier Guides is super stoked to announce we were voted the number one visitor attraction in New Zealand by the well-travelled backpackers of the world.  What an achievement.  Anyone who has set foot in New Zealand will know just how many amazing activities and experiences there are on offer.  The competition we were up against was of an exceptionally high level.

So, thanks guys.  We love ya.

Back to Back

This is the second year in a row that Franz Josef Glacier Guides has been voted the number one New Zealand activity at the TNT awards. So, you could call us the All Blacks of visitor activities.  Yeah, sort of.

The winning team

Winning the TNT Backpack Award is a huge pat on the back for the amazing Franz Josef Glacier Guides team.  With a broad range of skills and responsibilities, the team works hard to deliver a seamless experience for our guests whether they are hiking on the glacier, walking the valley floor or climbing an ice wall.  The award is well-deserved recognition for the guys and girls who deliver amazing glacier experiences day in day out and make it look easy.

Franz Josef Glacier Guides is an operation that involves some complicated components - changing glaciers, wild West Coast weather, and helicopters.  It ain’t always easy.

We have a lot of fun, but there are some things we take very seriously.  Integral to our operation is our stringent safety plan, training programmes, adherence to our Qualmark and Enviro Gold accreditations and our Telarc New Zealand safety management certification.  Alongside this commitment to safety is a strong focus on enjoyment.  We aim to deliver once in a lifetime experiences.  Looks like we’re doing something right.

Thanks everyone, you rock.
