Do I have to wear a mask on the tour?
Yes, mask use is mandatory indoors and outdoors at Franz Josef Glacier for anyone over the age of 12.
I am based in Auckland and can no longer make my trip. Can I get a refund?
Yes, any bookings affected by COVID-19 can be refunded or moved to another date. For all other bookings our standard terms and conditions apply.
What cleaning procedures are in place to ensure a safe environment?
All customer facing areas are cleaned thoroughly and regularly throughout the day. All gear on the glacier is disinfected between use, this includes helicopter handles and seatbelts. All gear provided during boot up is swapped out for clean gear between trips and washed each day. Franz Josef Glacier Guides is a COVID clean approved business.
What is a COVID clean approved business?
The Qualmark award is a recognised and trusted sign of a quality travel experience; the COVID Clean Approved assessment has been designed to complement the high standard this award represents. By completing this assessment, it communicates to both staff and visitors that the operator is aware of and working to take measures to help prevent the spread of COVID-19.
